Inspired by PAX

I have never really drawn video game characters before. I took a swing at it in honor of PAX 2011
I had a great time with it.

More recent work

This work has been done after i decided that im not drawing any more superheros (already established) When i do i get to focused on what they should look like and my style gets pushed to the side. I think since then my art work as improved exponentially.












This piece was done for the Podcast that i am apart of. I love doing it and this was fun as well.















This Was done as a mascot for my fantasy football leagues this year thought i would design own mascot. I love the dept of space in this one.




















This piece was inspired by something that started at work. The composition was inspired by the bleach manga. I love his cropping and sense of design in his comic. I drew a image of myself in a similar fashion and put it up in my cubicle at work. I then had some requests for me to draw other people so I have continued with this.

This is the first Batman that was straight from my imagination. Of course you have a template in your mind, but I think what holds an artist back from drawing to their potential is this idea that you have to meet certain ques to be considered legit. So what does the artist due? They fight against their natural instinct and try to draw what they think others will equate as good. In my break from drawing I have let a lot of my inhibitions go and have started to focus on what I want to draw and convey which is easier said then done. I think as you can see this is a lot more fluid and alive then others I have drawn. Which deep down is what I am looking for. I have had 4 rejections from Marvel which have shaken me. But during this time i have taken to regroup and pick up the pieces im clearing away a lot of the clutter that has built up and getting back to what I love about drawing.
